Reading the result
Volume in cubic feet is the base of freight density and dimensional weight, and the easiest way to compare box sizes that differ on more than one side.
For gaylords and bins, litres and US gallons are often how buyers of bulk materials ask for capacity, so the tool gives all four units at once. The conversions are exact: a US gallon is defined as 231 cubic inches and a cubic inch as 16.387064 cubic centimetres.
