FEFCO 03 series: telescope boxes
The 03 series covers boxes made of two or more pieces where a cover slides over a body. The FBA notes that the International Fibreboard Case Code calls these telescope-style boxes.

- Cover depth matters: the FBA notes that truck and rail classifications treat a cover reaching at least two-thirds of the depth differently from a shallower one.

- A full telescope box is two trays: a body and a slightly larger cover that slides down over it for the full depth. The walls end up double thickness all the way round, which makes it strong in stacking and easy to open and reclose. Good for goods that are packed and unpacked by hand and need a reusable lid.
