FEFCO 0714: Telescope box from two self-erecting pieces

This is a telescope box built from two pre-glued, self-erecting pieces: a body and a cover that each spring open with a finished bottom. It gives the double walls of a telescope box without the tray set-up work.

Construction

  • Both pieces are ready-glued auto-bottom tubes with no top flaps.
  • The cover piece is cut slightly larger and shallower so it slides over the body.
  • The FBA lists this as the telescope variant of the 0711 auto-bottom style.

When to use it

Good for

  • Telescope packs set up by hand in volume
  • Retail and gift packs that are opened and reclosed

Watch for

  • Two die-cut, factory-glued pieces per box
  • Cover depth matters for carrier classification, as with other telescope boxes
