FEFCO 0201 RSC vs 0203 FOL: side-by-side numbers
0201 (Regular slotted container) and 0203 (Full overlap slotted container) differ in how the box closes and how much board it takes. A full overlap container has outer flaps as long as the box is wide, so each closed end has the outer flaps lying fully on top of each other.
Flap rules
| Part | 0201 RSC | 0203 FOL |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Outer flaps, top and bottom: W ÷ 2 | All flaps: W |
| 2 | Inner flaps, top and bottom: W ÷ 2 | Layers at each end: two full layers of outer flaps plus the inner flaps |
| 3 | Manufacturer's joint: glue tab, about 1¼ in | |
| Closure | Tape along the center seam, glue the outer flaps to the inner flaps, or staple. A fill-in pad between the inner flaps gives a flat floor when the product needs one. | Glue, staple or tape. The full overlap gives a wide area for glue or stitches. |
